Notetaking in mathematics can be challenging for many students with disabilities and having a full set of correct notes is vital to success. For some students trying to take notes detracts from following the lecture, for others compete notes prior to the lecture are required to enable the student to follow at all e.g. if they cannot read the board effectively. Many assistive technologies do not work well for mathematics so it is commonly recommended that lecturers provide a full set of notes in an accessible format.
